Topeka school kids celebrated pedestrian safety with international walk to school day Wednesday.
Scott Magnet School held a walk-home activity Wednesday afternoon. They started with an assembly to discuss safe pedestrian habits with the kids. Then volunteers walked with groups of kids a few blocks from the school to demonstrate how they should act.
Safe Kids Shawnee County hopes to get the community involved in finding safe routes for kids to take when walking to school.
