An accident near Abilene leaves a teenaged girl dead Wednesday.
18-year-old Rebecca Ann Corbitt of Chapman was eastbound on old Highway 40 just west of abilene shortly after eight this morning. She was driving a 1995 Dodge pick-up truck.
Kansas Highway Patrol says her right tires dropped off the side of the road. They say she over corrected and lost control. Her vehicle then flipped after entering the south ditch.
Troopers say she was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the truck.
She was pronounced dead on scene.
