SRS Awards Kansans With Disabilities Grant Money

The Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services has awarded grant money to seven community agencies. The grants are aimed at promoting independent living for people with disabilities.

SRS awarded over $100,000 to the communities. Quantitative Use of Independent Living Title VII-B, or QUILT, grantees include the Kansas Youth Empowerment Academy of Topeka, OCCK, Inc. of Salina, Prairie Independent Living Resource Center of Hutchinson, Resource Center for Independent Living of Osage City, Southeast Kansas Independent Living Resource Center of Hays, Three Rivers Inc. of Wamego, and Topeka Independent Living Resource Center.

Projects are funded for a one year period.
