Kansas Gov. Reports For Jury Duty

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ In Kansas, even governors get called for jury duty.

Gov. Kathleen Sebelius reported for jury duty Monday morning in Shawnee County District Court. She's sitting with other potential jurors in a fourth-floor courtroom, waiting to watch the standard video giving potential jurors background on jury service.

A security officer and her press secretary are waiting outside, but otherwise Sebelius might be any other juror.

The governor was called for jury duty in July but had an international trade mission and couldn't serve. She said district court officials told her she should expect to be called later.

She said she's always wanted to serve on a jury but never has.
