JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Missouri's top economic development
official is stepping down.
Greg Steinhoff has been director of the Department of Economic
Development since 2005.
Gov. Matt Blunt's office announced Friday that Steinhoff will
leave state government Oct. 17.
He'll be replaced by Garry Taylor, who served as interim
director of economic development before Steinhoff took the job.
Taylor worked in state government for two decades. Most recently
he's been working part-time as a community development consultant.
Blunt's office said Steinhoff will be returning to the private
sector. Before taking the state job, Steinhoff was an executive
with Illinois-based Option Care, a pharmaceutical services company
with 130 franchises in 32 states.
