Washburn University Tuesday released their fall enrollment numbers.
Washburn announced 6,545 students are enrolled this semester.
The students are taking a total of 73,201 credit hours.
Both numbers are down five-percent from the same time last year.
Full time enrollment is near record levels at 4,412 students, according to Washburn President Jerry Farley.
He says that is the sixth highest in the University's history.
Farley also says first time freshman enrollment is up about five percent.
