Nursing Students Get Headstart on Helping Patients

TOPEKA, Kan. - On Monday, Sept. 29, Baker University, School of Nursing and Student Senate teamed up to host a blood drive with Community Blood Center.

Stormont-Vail HealthCare Hospital opened a room for the blood drive from 11a.m. - 3p.m. Monday.

This is the second time Baker School of Nursing has hosted a blood drive for the 160 students enrolled, as well as faculty and staff.

The Community Blood Center is currently at a critical low. Anyone can donate at the center during business hours Monday - Friday.
