Police Release Names of Salina Shooting Victims

SALINA, Kan. (AP) _ Salina police have released the names of two
people found shot to death in an apartment.

Salina Deputy Police Chief Carson Mansfield says that
22-year-old Ernest Jones Jr. and 22-year-old Taryn Dechant were
killed in an apartment they shared. Their bodies were found Friday
morning.

Mansfield says two small children, ages 5 and 2, were also found
in the apartment but they were not hurt.

He would not say what relationship existed between the victims
and children. Other than saying the homicides were not a random
act, police have released few other details.
