Children of Fort Riley troops are usually pretty curious what mom or dad does when they go to work -- or even when they leave the country. They got a chance to find out Saturday.
The post held its annual Fall Festival Saturday where kids could go through obstacle courses, ride ATVs, even fire guns (blanks of course).
It wasn't just fun for the kids, however.
It was also a welcome change of pace for the troops, who have a very regimented schedule. They used the day to spend time with their families, and to give some good vibes to the surrounding communities.
