The Kansas Lottery Gaming Facility has decided that Butler National Service Corporation will build and manage a new casino in dodge city.
Butler won the bid over dodge city resort and gaming commission in a decision announced early Friday afternoon.
The state will own the $88 million complex which will include almost 900 slot machines and 20 table games.
"I will tell you we are committed to the project and we are very pleased to be considered by you all." Clark Stewart with Butler National Service Corporation told the Facility Friday. "We would like to have you support us, we think the community supports us. We think we will do the best job for you in Dodge city and southwest Kansas."
The facility will be called "Boot Hill Resort and Casino" and is expected to open in December of 2009.
