Bill Riphahn Says More Renovations Coming

With the snip of a ribbon, two new features at Old Prairie Town were dedicated.
A neo-classic garden pavilion now leads visitors to the Topeka park into the gardens. The structure was designed to compliment the Ward-Meade home that sits on the site.
Once in the garden, a 1500 foot stamped concrete path winds through the plants.
Bill Riphahn, a park planner for the city, says more additions are planned.
An existing fountain and pond will be renovated, while a new water feature will be added just inside the pavilion.
Old Prairie Town will host the Apple Festival the first Sunday in October. The public is invited to attend.
