There is no better way to promote literacy than reading to your children.
That was the purpose behind the 8th annual "Read to Me Program" lunch.
The event was held at the YWCA in Topeka. Jane Kurtz, a children's author, was a featured speaker. She is a literacy advocate for Ethiopia, where she grew up.
The "Read to Me Program" was initiated to promote literacy throughout Topeka.
