Bond Set for Two Men Accused in Critically Beating Man

Bond was set Wednesday at $100,000 for two men accused of critically beating a man late Tuesday night. 49-year-old Glen Morris, of Wichita, and 50-year old George McFarland, of Topeka are being held on charges of aggravated burglary and aggravated battery.

Police say they forced their way into an apartment in the 700 block of Polk just before 11:00 Tuesday night. Officers say they attacked one of the residents, leaving him with life-threatening head trauma.

Morris and McFarland are due back in court for a docket hearing December 31st.
