A Topeka man will spend more than twelve years in federal prison for an armed robbery at a McDonald's restaurant.
U.S. Attorney Eric Melgren says 54-year old Randall Wayne Thomas was sentenced Tuesday to 151 months. Thomas pleaded guilty in May to one count of robbery of a business engaged in interstate commerce.
In his plea, Thomas admitted he and his co-defendant 25-year old Tramaine Beadles of Topeka, planned to rob the McDonald's at 3530 NW 46th Street in Topeka in October 2006. Beadles worked at the restaurant. Thomas committed the robbery and gave Beadles a share.
Beadles pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 55 months in April for the robbery and other crimes.
