It comes as no surprise that the state of Kansas is looking for more ways to help the environment. A conference was held Tuesday, with people attending from educational institutions, universities, businesses, and communities across Kansas to talk about wind energy.

The state is looking at different ways to develop wind and other renewable energy sources. There was also talk of developing more wind farms in western Kansas where the wind is strong.

The main purpose is to look for a way to find green energy and renewable energy opportunities for the future.
