MANHATTAN, Kan. - The 2008 All-University Career Fair at Kansas State University has reached an all-time high with more than 340 employers attending.
The fair is a two-day event September 23-24. Students have an opportunity by attending the career fair to secure a next-day interview Wednesday, Sept. 24 and Thursday, Sept. 25 by networking with employers.
"K-State students are highly sought-after candidates for employment," said Dottie Evans, associate director of K-State's career and employment services. "Employers know they can find employees with a strong work ethic and strong scholarship when they recruit at K-State."
In addition to full-time entry-level positions, many employers will be promoting co-op and internship opportunities.
"More and more employers are seeking exposure to K-Staters at an early point in their college careers," Evans said. "Recruiters are enthusiastic about meeting freshmen and other new students."
Students also benefit from the many recruiters at the fair who are K-State alums and can offer insight and advice for career planning, according to Evans.
