(CNN) -- A fire at a club in Shenzhen, China, killed at least 43 people and injured more than 50 others, China's state-run newspaper reported.
The fire broke out at about 11 p.m. in Longgang District, China Daily cited local police as saying. The injured were sent to hospitals, and the extent of their injuries was not immediately clear.
The fire was under investigation, the newspaper said.
