The Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services received two awards Friday.
The United States Department of Agriculture gave SRS two high performance bonus awards for administration of the Kansas Food Assistance Program. The reward was a check for more than $1.5 million. The money will be used to continue improvements in the Food Assistance Program.
Kansas is one of three states with the most improved payment accuracy for the 2007 federal fiscal year.
Kansas is also one of five states with the most improved negative error rate.
