Topeka Man Accused of Stealing Money From His Mother

Topeka, KS (WIBW)--A Topeka man is accused of stealing money from his mother.

Attorney General Steve Six says 46-year-old Craig Jay Shelton misused $140,000 from his mother's bank accounts and credit cards while he had durable power of attorney over her finances.

Shelton faces 13 counts including mistreatment of a dependent adult, identity theft, computer crime, and criminal use of a financial card.

His bond is set at $20,000.
