Meals on Wheels spent the day honoring their volunteers that make their mission possible.
Jean Tevis was presented with the Reuter Award for her exceptional service to the clients. Tevis is known to pick up extra routes when there is a need.
St. Francis Health Center and Stormont-Vail HealthCare received the Corporate Citizen award. Both hospitals began delivering meal in 1991.
Officials say the 1,300 volunteers make it possible to deliver meals each day.
In addition to delivering meals, volunteers also provide safety checks to ensure the clients are doing well.
Secretary of Aging Kathy Greenlee was the keynote speaker.
