Attorney General Steve Six and members of his Amber Alert Task Force want to be sure everyone knows about efforts to bring missing kids home safely.
They conducted a regional "Amber Alert" training session Thursday at the Topeka Police Department. It educated law enforcement, media, and advocates on how the system works so they can better inform their communities and help families when tragedy strikes.
Kansas averages three to four Amber Alerts a year. The Amber Alert system has been in Kansas since 2002.
