Hurricane Gustav Relief Back in KS

Members of the Kansas National Guard deployed to Louisiana to help after Hurricane Gustav, returned to Kansas Wednesday.

Approximately 600 guard members were deployed to Louisiana on September second and third. They helped with a variety of things from providing security to distributing meals and water to the public.

Three Black Hawks from the National Guard deployed to Texas will remain there for the time being. They are helping the Hurricane Ike relief effort.
