Three Black Hawks and 21 crew members from the Kansas Guard's 108th are in Texas helping in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike.

Guard members say the devastation compares to that of the Greensburg Tornado aftermath.

People trying to return to their homes in that area Wednesday waited in a line that backed up 20-miles along one route, only to be turned back.

The death toll from Ike and its remnants Wednesday topped 50 people in ten states.

Also, nearly a million people remain without power. Westar Energy Wednesday sent additional crews to help with power restoration efforts in Kentucky.
