TOPEKA, Kan. - As part of its Grand Opening Week, Qdoba Mexican Grill, 1025 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, is hosting a fundraiser event on Friday, Sept. 12 that will donate 100 percent of the days sales to the Topeka Rescue Mission.
The new Qdoba is locally owned and operated by Topeka residents Chuck and Joy Stratman and opened to the public on September 8, 2008.
"We are part of this community, and we want our business to be involved with our city and its people," said Chuck Stratman. "During our grand opening, everyone can purchase any entree and a drink for $5 and all sales will be donated to the Topeka Rescue Mission."
Additionally, Qdoba's five unique salsas and famous queso will be available for guests to sample.
"We encourage everyone to come out and experience the legendary service and our fresh made menu," said Stratman. "You'll get great food at a great price and help support the mission continue the wonderful work they do in our community."
The Topeka Rescue Mission has been providing food, shelter, clothing, training, and hope to homeless and impoverished men, women and children of the Topeka area for 55 years. The mission is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
