MAYETTA - The Prairie Band Potawatomi tribe took time Thursday to remember the anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks.

The Tribe held a ceremony outside the Prairie Band Casino Thursday morning. Representatives of police, fire and emergency personnel spoke of the sacrifice made by those responding to the World Trade Center that day, giving their lives to save the lives of others.

The service included the raising of an American flag from a fire truck, a gun salute and the playing of taps.
