Wheaton Man Arrested for Making Drugs

WHEATON, Kan. - On September 9, 2008 at approximately 9:50 a.m., the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at 216 Lincoln Street, Wheaton, Kan.

During the search warrant, deputies located items associated with the manufacturing and use of methamphetamine, the cultivation of marijuana, and a quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana, as well as camera and surveillance equipment.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment were called to assist in the removal and cleanup of hazardous materials associated with methamphetamine production.

As a result of this warrant, Michael B. Willis, 44, of the residence, was probable cause arrested for:
Manufacturing Methamphetamine
Cultivating Marijuana
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
No Drug Tax Stamp

Bond is pending.
