The Memorial Union at Emporia State University is back open after it was evacuated for a few hours Wednesday night. A message was posted on the University's website to let students know what was going on.

The message said that a suspicious bag was found inside Memorial Union. Just before 7:00 the bag was determined not to be a security threat and the Union was re-opened.

Students say it was very helpful to have the website available to answer their questions and let them know when everything was safe.
