THEY EACH SOLD A PURPLE RIBBON PROJECT AT THE FAIR'S AUCTION LAST JULY. PIERCE WAS CREATIVE.. SELLING HIS CHAPMAN FIGHTING IRISH TORNADO VOLUNTEER BUCKET.. CONTAINING BUG SPRAY, SUNSCREEN, GATORADE, GLOVES AND OTHER ITEMS..

TAYLOR TOOK HIS PROJECT ONE SWEET STEP FURTHER. HIS GRANDPARENTS CHERRY TREE IN CHAPMAN WAS TAKEN DOWN IN THE JUNE 11TH STORM. BUT IN THE BASEMENT FREEZER.. ABOUT 20 QUARTS OF CHERRIES WERE FOUND FROZEN AND UNTOUCHED.

TAYLOR USED THOSE CHERRIES TO MAKE A PIE.. BOUGHT BY HIGH TECH AUTOMOTIVE FOR 550-DOLLARS. PIERCE AND TAYLOR'S CHECK TO TONY FRIEZE TOTALLING 11-HUNDRED DOLLARS WILL HELP THE CHAPMAN SCHOOL TORNADO FUND.
