Fort Riley Atheist Reports Death Threat

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ An atheist soldier at Fort Riley who's suing
the military is reporting that he has received a death threat.
The Army post says it is investigating.
Spc. Jeremy Hall and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation,
based in Albuquerque, N.M., have filed a lawsuit in federal court
in Kansas City, Kan.
They allege the military permits religious discrimination by
fundamentalist Christians who try to force their views on others,
especially subordinates. The military says it doesn't condone
discrimination.
Foundation President Mikey Weinstein provided a transcript of a
message left early Saturday on Hall's cell phone. It is laced with
obscenities and racial slurs, and the caller promises to slit
Hall's throat and drink his blood.
