Both candidates for Kansas' U.S. Senate seat will meet face to face for the first time in the fall campaign season this weekend. Incumbent Pat Roberts will join former Topeka-area Congressman Jim Slattery inside the AT&T Arena at the Kansas State Fairgrounds for Saturday's debate.

13's Ralph Hipp will join WIBW Radio's Jan Lunsford asking questions as local members of the media panel.

The debate between Slattery and Roberts will be aired live on 580 Radio Saturday morning at 11:00. The debate will also be carried on Kansas Now 22, and will be tape-delayed for Topeka PBS station KTWU.
