Man who Walked out of Topeka LEC Arrested

Topeka Police have captured a man who escaped the law enforcement center while being questioned for a crime.

Police say 21-year-old Michael Daws was brought in for an interview Wednesday night in connection with an aggravated burglary that occurred in the 2000 block of Southwest Tara. He was left alone in an interview room for a short time and left the building.

Police arrested Daws Thursday morning. He's charged with aggravated burglary, felony theft, burglary, criminal damage, criminal trespass, parole violation, obstruction and weapons violation.
