Emporia State University students can now receive emergency alerts by text messages and e-mails.
ESU can now distribute messages to thousands of subscribers in a timely manner.
The University encourages all students, faculty, and staff to register for the service. To join, click the "Rave Emergency Alert" link at buzzin.emporia.edu. Then hit "Join Now" and follow the instructions to register.
The only cost is any standard text messaging cost with your cell provider.
