Army Reserve Unit Called to Active Duty

MANHATTAN, Kan. - The United States Army Reserve has called the 538th Transportation Company Detachment. The 538th has approximately 20 soldiers based out of the Manhattan, Kan. area.

The 538th is trained and equipped to execute their primary mission as a Movement Control Team in support of operations in Iraq.

The Army Reserve will recognize these Soldiers and their families at a farewell ceremony that will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6th at the Army Reserve Building, 715 Griffith Drive, Manhattan, Kan.
