Manhattan Boys and Girls Club Make Cards For National Grandparent's Day

More than twenty Manhattan kids are working together to craft their own personal gift for area seniors.

The Boys and Girls Club of Manhattan hosted the kindergarten through second graders today, along with Mayor Mark Hatesohl and US Cellular Associates.

The made greeting cards for senior citizens in honor of National Grandparents' Day, which is Sunday.

According to the National Grandparents' Day foundation, nearly 60 percent of nursing home residents don't receive a visit after being admitted to a facility.

US Cellular will deliver the cards to area senior centers by Sunday.
