Dozens of Kansas Utility trucks are on their way to Louisiana to provide assistance when Gustav passes.

Gustav has now weakened to a tropical storm as it moves farther inland.

50 to 75 electrical trucks from different companies in Kansas are being sent to Louisiana to help restore power lines.

Kansas has also sent National Guard and Red Cross aid to help the Gulf Coast states recover.
