Wind Topples Semi On Stretch Of I-70

PAXICO, Kan. (WIBW) - Authorities say the storms earlier Tuesday night are to blame for slowing traffic on I-70 near Paxico.

Emergency crews were called around 6:00 p.m. to reports that a semi-truck had tipped over.

Officials tell 13 News the trailer was empty, and the wind toppled it over onto the shoulder on I-70. Wind gusts topped 55 miles per hour in the area at the time.

One lane of west-bound I-70 was closed while crews worked to upright the semi. No injuries were reported.
