LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW)-- Lawrence police think they've spoken to a specific driver linked to the suspect in a murder last month. Earlier Friday, they asked the public for any information about anyone who may have had contact with Angelica Kulp, particularly one seen on surveillance video.
The 38-year-old Kulp is suspected of killing 56 Christina Kaplan, who was found dead in her home, 1100 New York Ave., Lawrence, on July 26, 2014. Kulp was found in Shawnee Co. jail a few days later andis expected to be transferred to Douglas Co. at a later date.
Investigators said Kulp did not own her own car and they wanted to speak to anyone who may have given her a ride. Police distributed photos of one person who gave Kulp a ride to Dillons on July 22, 2014, then waited while she ran inside the store to buy some things.
Detectives said it was very important to speak with her -- and within hours of asking for the public's help, they did just that.
Anyone else who may have spoken with Kulp is still asked to call the Lawrence Police Dept. at 785-832-7509.
