Three-Time State Champion Football Coach Injured In Crash

Osborne, KAN. (WIBW)-- A motorcycle accident early Sunday morning has left a 3 time state championship football coach with serious injuries.

Osborne County Sheriff's Deputy Danny Miner confirms former Baileyville B&B football coach and current Osborne coach Steve Tiernan was involved in a lone motorcycle accident shortly after 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning about 4 miles west of Tipton. He was then transported to Osborne County Memorial Hospital and life flighted to Wichita.

KVSV Radio says that according to a friend of the family, coach Tiernan was breathing on his own and was in stable condition.

Tiernan won two state championships in 8-Man football with Baileyville B&B in 2008 and 2010 and last years 8-Man Division One championship with Osborne.
