TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Emergency crews had to free a man trapped in his car after he wrecked it near Forbes Field while trying to avoid a dirt bike, according to the Topeka Police Dept.
Police said the driver, who was not identified, swerved to miss the bike near the intersection of SW University Blvd. and SW Topeka Blvd. and ran his Honda S2000 off the right side of the road around 4:15 p.m.
He over-corrected, sending his car back across the road. It ended up going off the left side and hitting a power pole.
The driver was only mildly hurt, but was taken to the hospital because he needed to be freed from the vehicle.
The rider wasn't hurt.
