TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Topeka teen faces burglary charges after a daytime robbery on the western edge of town.
Eighteen year-old LaShawn Mady was booked on charges of Burglary, Theft, Criminal Damage to Property and Interference With a Law Enforcement Officer, according to the Shawnee Co. Sheriff's Office.
They said the homeowners called them shortly after 1:00 p.m., saying they saw a man leaving their garage carrying some of their stuff and he disappeared into the woods.
Officers then found Mady in the 1800 block of SW Hoch Road and said he had some of the items reportedly taken during the burglary.
