Final Heartland Vision Task Force Session Today

Around two hundred Shawnee Co. residents will gather together Thursday to discuss and debate the future of the Capital City and the surrounding region.. They are meeting for the fourth and final Vision Task Force session.

The Task Force's stated goal is to develop potential strategies and an overall vision in each of six key foundations of a community: Education, Quality of Life, Infrastructure, Economic Development, Government, and the Private Sector. Their results then would be implemented over the ourse of the next five to twenty years.

Previous sessions have produced notes on four of the components, leaving members only Government and Private Sector Leadership to cover Thursday
