Strong to Severe Storms moved across northeast Kansas on Thursday, May 8th.

Hail the size of peas was reported in the Oakland area.
Nickel size hail was reported near Auburn.
Quarter size hail was reported near Neosho Rapids.

Tornadoes were reported in Colorado, Missouri and Minnesota, but none touched down in Kansas.

The stronger storms did produce heavy rain, but the vast majority of northeast Kansas saw less than .01" of measurable rainfall. The drought continues.
