Car Sent Barreling Through Houston Crowd At Murder Scene

HOUSTON, Texas (CBS) -- A car came barreling through a crowd near a murder scene in southeast Houston.

A photographer for local ABC affiliate KTRK recorded people diving for safety and running from the path of the speeding car. After making a turn across the grass in front of an apartment complex, the driver bailed out while the car was moving.

Someone jumped in and stopped the car while police wrestled the driver to the ground. There's no word yet on what connection he may have had to the earlier shooting.

Family members identify the shooting victim as Demarkus Harrison, 20. They say he was with his girlfriend when a suspect approached him and began arguing with him.

According to family members, the suspect began shooting and then jumped a fence before getting away. Harrison died on the scene.
