MANHATTAN, Kan (WIBW) -- The person injured in a shooting at a Manhattan convenience store Wednesday has been identified as 23 year old Dareen Starks of Manhattan.
The Riley Co. Police Dept said the victim was taken via Life Flight to a hospital for treatment.
Police Wednesday, announced they captured a suspect involved in the shooting and Thursday morning the suspect in Wednesday's shooting was identified as Daeshawn Bryant, 18, of Manhattan.
The shooting took place at the Hop and Skip, near the intersection of Tuttle Creek Boulevard and Kimball.
Police said that the suspect and victim were acquaintances.
"There should be no increased danger as a result of this incident, this is not a mass violence type event," their public information officer tweeted.
