OLATHE. Kan (WIBW)-- An Olathe-based daycare was shut down home following the death of a ten-month-old baby last year.

The Kansas Dept. of Health and Environment issued the Emergency Order of Suspension against Precious Little Angels Day Care last Friday.

According to its order, the infant died after being placed into a car seat to take a nap.

An inspection last Friday reportedly found a 3 month-old baby napping on an adult bed that contained soft blankets and pillows. They also said a fence around the pool was left open.

Last September, the KDHE had issued a Intent to Suspend notice stemming from the 10-month-old baby's death, citing excessive capacity, inappropriate sleeping practices; stairways, electrical outlets, and other items not protected, and a lack of medical records on nearly half the kids there, among other violations.

The order is subject to appeal.
