TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Rush hour drivers suffered through major bottlenecks along eastbound I-70 in Topeka Wednesday morning. Traffic backed up after two trucks collided near the Wanamaker Rd. exit around 7:30 a.m.
Authorities said a blue pickup rear-ended the other truck. Emergency crews rushed its driver to a nearby hospital. Details about the driver of the truck that was hit was not immediately available.
The wreck slowed morning commuters all the way back to the Auburn Road exit on I-70 and 21st St. on I-470. Traffic returned to to normal a little more than an hour later and was officially cleared by 9:00 a.m.
