Riley And Pottawatomie County Crews Pull Dead Body From Tuttle Creek

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's office tells 13 News rescue crews pulled a body from Tuttle Creek Lake Friday afternoon.

Pottawatomie County dispatch says shortly after 3 p.m. Friday Riley County Police along with Riley County Emergency Management and the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office located a deceased body in an area of unfrozen lake water in the Tuttle Cove area of Tuttle Creek Lake

The deceased individual was taken to the Kansas City area for an autopsy.

Identification of the deceased individual is being withheld pending positive identification and notification of family members.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's office could not confirm if the deceased body matches that of Jane Peterson who went missing near Tuttle Creek Lake January 19th.
