Man Jailed After Head Injuries Hospitalize Baby

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Topeka man is behind bars after an infant was rushed to the hospital with head injuries.

Lieutenant Michael Cross of the Topeka Police Department confirms to 13 News 22 year old Brian Allen Epling was booked into Shawnee County jail shortly at 5:03 a.m. Sunday morning on felony charges of aggravated battery and abuse of a child.
Lt. Cross says the infant victim was airlifted to the KU Medical Center and the condition of the baby is unknown.

Epling is currently being held on $50,000 in cash or surety bond.
