TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Letters weighing 1 ounce will cost 3 cents more to mail after January 26, so stamps will be purchased for $0.49.

Other prices that are rising within the Postal Service are letters with additional ounces, increasing one cent to $0.21; international letters, increasing 5 cents to $1.15; and postcards, increasing 1 cent to $0.34.

A new service is also being added; Priority Mail Express can now be delivered most places in the United States by 10:30 a.m. for an additional $5 fee.

Priority Mail products are also eligible for free insurance up to $50 or $100 and one, two, or three date-specific delivery based on destination ZIP code.

Forever stamps are still available for purchase today at the current price, and can be used after the prices change.
