An historic presidential candidate will break from tradition in accepting his party's nomination.

Democrats announced Monday that Illinois Senator Barack Obama will accept the party's presidential nomination at the Denver Broncos' football stadium during the party's convention, rather than the convention site of the Pepsi Center.

The stadium can hold more than 75,000 people. The move is expected to boost fundraising.

Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is co-chairperson of the convention.

"Barack Obama's campaign for change has inspired millions of Americans and brought people into the political process who might never have been involved," Sebelius said in a statement. "This change in the Convention program will allow thousands of first-time participants a chance to take part. I can't think of a better Convention finale for our nominee who has made reaching out to voters a hallmark of his campaign."

Obama is scheduled to deliver the acceptance speech on August
28th, the fourth and final night of the convention. That's also the
45th anniversary of Martin Luther King's ``I Have a Dream'' speech
on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
